Performed Project Assignments

 

OHT / Seaway7

The heavy transport vessel operator OHT (now Seaway7) started construction of the Alfa Lift in 2019 and asked me to join the company to manage the mission equipment part of this very innovative project. The Alfa Lift will be the largest and most innovative foundation installation vessel in the world, industrialised installation of monopiles. The mission equipment includes the deck transport system, the upending system, the motion compensated gripper and all associated lifting/handling tools.

 

Ulstein

After joining the Ulstein Group, we secured a contract to design, manufacture, and deliver two monopile grippers for the Offshore Wind v.o.f. joint venture. These grippers were produced, assembled, and tested in the Netherlands, then transported and installed on the Pacific Orca and Sea Installer vessels. As project and contract manager for the engineering and procurement phases, I ensured the grippers were delivered on time and within budget. They performed successfully during the West Duddon Sands Project.
